Honduras Handyman Mission 2026
In January, we had a team of 15 men who traveled to Honduras to be the hands and feet of Christ. In Choluteca, they built 4 water reservoirs known in Spanish as pilas, to help impoverished families have a good supply of fresh rainwater for cooking, bathing and drinking. They also replaced 4 roofs, repaired the walls and ridge beams of 2 homes, and built the framework for 3 houses which the families will finish! In addition, they ministered at an orphanage and at a rehabilitation center for addicts. Eternity was changed for 2 people who decided to commit their lives to Christ! It’s safe to say that everyone who went and the people they encountered in their projects and along the way were changed and impacted for the Kingdom!
Who am I to question what God spoke to me?
A Story of Personal Impact from the Honduras Handyman Team
When I was preparing the message I was supposed to preach for our time at church in Honduras, I struggled to get my thoughts together on what to share. When I did finally have something on paper, I still didn’t feel good about it because it was more of a salvation message and I thought I was going to be speaking at a church full of people who already believed. In my mind, the church people wouldn’t need this message. The day before we left for Honduras, I shared my message ideas with a co-worker. This colleague’s son has been in and out of drug rehab many times, and he asked if could have a copy of the message to share with his son.
The day before I was to speak, God gave me another confirmation that my message was what He wanted. While we were serving at a local orphanage, a lady closed us out by singing a song which was actually half of the verses that I had in my message. Then during our team worship time on Saturday night I learned that I would not be speaking at a church after all; instead I would be sharing at a drug rehab center. I then realized my message would be perfect for that setting. When all was said and done, I had the right message and it resulted in one gentleman praying to make Jesus his Savior and Lord! Who am I to question what God spoke to me?

She chose life so we chose to encourage her!
We learned of mom who has chosen life for her daughter even though she is a single mom and has almost no support. We shared the “Love is Why” message with her by showering her with gifts for her baby. No, none of us knew her, but it was a beautiful morning celebrating this new life!
Forged to Serve
New at ChristWay
We just completed our first project for the Forged to Serve ministry! A ChristWay partner requested our help on behalf of her mother. A small group of men gathered to help with this moving project.
Our love for Jesus is why we follow His example to serve others, and our men’s ministry is actively seeking opportunities to care for those in need within our gathering. Our focus is on serving individuals with compassion rather than simply completing tasks. By using the collective, God-given skills of our ministry partners, we carry out projects that support and uplift our gathering – knowing that whatever we do for them, we do for Him.
If you are a widow, single parent, shut-in or physically unable to do a task or know a ChristWay partner who has a need for help, we want to be there! It could be a maintenance project around your house, yard work or maybe just help setting up your wifi router. If you lack the means to get it done, we may be able to help.
