Here's what The Treehouse is learning in July...

This Month’s Biblical Theme Is: God is good.

Our stories this month magnify God’s goodness by revealing His character through different life experiences. The Psalms remind us that God lovingly guides us, speaks to us through His Word, and invites us to live in a way that honors Him. Even in times of sorrow or struggle, we are encouraged to bring our emotions to God and remember His faithfulness. The Psalms also highlight God’s care and protection, showing that He is always with us, providing what we need. As we look back on His actions throughout history, we are inspired to give thanks for His constant love and never-ending goodness.

Monthly Memory Verse: The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made. (Psalm 145:9) ESV

Week 1:

Psalms of Wisdom | Psalm 19

Wisdom psalms guide us in how God wants us to live. David celebrates how God reveals Himself through both nature and His Word. We can search our hearts and seek to please God.

Brite Idea: God is good.

Week 2:

Psalms of Lament | Psalm 22

Psalms of lament express sadness, frustration or even complaints with God. These psalms encourage us that we can express all our emotions to God and remember His character and promises in the midst of whatever we are going through.

Brite Idea: God is good even when we are hurting.

Week 3:

Psalms of Trust | Psalm 23

Psalms of trust highlight God’s protection and care and encourage trust in Him. Psalm 23 compares God to a shepherd who is a guide, comforter and provider.

Brite Idea: God is our Good Shepherd.

Week 4:

Psalms of Thanksgiving | Psalm 136

The psalmist walks through the history of Israel, from creation to God’s rescue in the promised land. We can thank God for His eternal goodness and His never-failing love.

Brite Idea: God does good things for His people.
